This web site is a result of the Facilitation Commission’s charge to see that a comprehensive communication plan be established. Various means of communication including congregational information meetings, the Lamp Post newsletter, bulletin inserts and this interactive blog are all opportunities to keep you informed.

About the Facilitation Commission:
A feasibility study was done in 2009 and the findings were presented to Session and accepted on December 14, 2009. The main action item of the report accepted by Session was the recommendation that a “Facilitation Commission” be established with the following charge:
1) Support our pastor, session and congregation through prayer and action to become the church we want to be.
2) Facilitate a coordinated building fund drive to pay down the Aztech debt.
3) Hold session accountable to develop a sustainable budget within three years.
4) Facilitate the recommendations brought forth in this report with a master plan complete with assignments and start/end dates.
- Extend the dialogue begun here to the entire congregation by way of regular congregational meetings, small group discussions and one-on-one exchanges to encourage and respect the multiple ideas of our congregants.
5) Facilitate coordination and accountability of our leadership.
6) Recommend a comprehensive communication plan.
7) Encourage review and implementation of the 2005 Vision Statement.
8) Request leadership support and insight from Presbytery’s Committee On Ministry, COR (crisis management group session met with earlier) and Generis to the limit they have already been paid.
